Former President George H.W. Bush has been hospitalised in Houston while being treated for bronchitis.
A source close to the family told NBC News that the 88-year-old had
severe coughing and had been in and out of the hospital for the past few
weeks.
He was admitted to the hospital out of “an abundance of caution,” the
source said, adding it was to make sure the bronchitis does not turn
into pneumonia.
Bush, the oldest living former president, has a type of Parkinson’s
disease that afflicts his legs. He gets around mostly by using a
wheelchair.
